David Hurrell

I draw inspiration from my rural locality. I feel very ‘connected’ with this corner of England and strongly linked to its history. I try to convey my sense of wonder, delight and discovery for the living, natural landscape and the motifs within it that connect us to our heritage.
BA (Hons) graduate of St Martin's School of Art & Design 1977. Worked as a Book Illustrator (specializing in Natural History), as a Graphic Designer and as a PrePress Technician in the Printing Industry. Currently engaged in Book Design, Landscape Painting and Book Writing. I am a member of the Society for Sailing Barge Research, various wildlife conservation bodies and brass bands.
