Elaine Tribley

Tribley explores her immediate environments producing site responsive work with suggestions of belonging and nostalgia, and often with a sense of irony. Her work spans photography, drawing, sculpture and installation, and operates on the boundary between fine art and graphic design.
Born in Birmingham and now based in the east, Elaine Tribley has a studio at The Hive in Chelmsford. She has a BA in Fine Art from St Martin’s School of Art in London and returned in 2007 to complete a MAFA. Several of Tribley's public artworks are on display at sites across the UK, and her work is held in the collections of Braintree Museum, The V&A, Central St Martins Art Book Collection and The Gardens of Easton Lodge sculpture collection She is a founding member of Market Project, a collective researching and sharing new methods or opportunities for artistic professional and economic development.
